FOR SKYDIVE, CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE PRESIDENT SETS NEW FUNDRAISING GOAL TO SUPPORT HURRICANE RELIEF EFFORTS

Micky and Madeleine Arison Foundation Pledges to Match All Donations

MIAMI, Oct. 11, 2024 – As recovery work continues and relief workers assess needs from the back-to-back impact of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy has set a new goal of $75,000 for her tandem skydive over Tampa Bay on Oct. 19 to raise funds for hurricane relief efforts through the Gary Sinise Foundation. And now the tandem skydive has a tandem fundraising partner as the Micky and Madeleine Arison Family Foundation has pledged to match all donations.

“Our hearts go out to all those who have been impacted by the devastation of Hurricanes Milton and Helene. I am so grateful to all who have donated and continue to step up for hurricane relief efforts as I get ready to jump from 10,000 feet above Tampa Bay with members of the Special Forces,” said Duffy. “The outpouring of donations has been heartwarming, and I’m especially honored that Carnival Corporation Chairman Micky Arison and his wife Madeleine have offered their support by matching funds.”

As part of the celebration of the first-ever Special Forces Legacy Initiatives (SFLI) cruise on Carnival Paradise, Duffy accepted the challenge to tandem skydive on Oct. 19. Read the Oct. 7 press release
