Carnival Corporation Named One of the World’s Top Companies for Women for Third Consecutive Year

World’s largest cruise company again honored on Forbes’ annual listing of the top female-friendly companies in the world for 2023

MIAMI (Nov. 03, 2023) – Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK), the world’s largest cruise company, today announced it was named for the third consecutive year as one of the World’s Top Companies for Women for 2023 by Forbes, a leading source of business news worldwide. Carnival Corporation was the only cruise company recognized on the list of the top 400 companies that are dedicated to advancing women in the workplace.

Presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider, the World’s Top Companies for Women were determined through an independent survey of approximately 70,000 women working for global companies across 37 countries. Respondents were asked whether they would recommend their employer to friends and family, and to anonymously rate their workplaces on both general workplace practices and gender-specific issues, such as gender pay equity and opportunities for advancement. Employees could also rate other companies within their respective industry and evaluate the organizations based on their public image. Based on these direct and indirect employee recommendations, along with an evaluation of women in leadership positions, only the top 400 companies were recognized.

“For all of us at Carnival Corporation, we celebrate our diverse team and are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment where people from different backgrounds, experiences and walks of life can succeed,” said Bettina Deynes, global chief human resources officer for Carnival Corporation. “We care deeply for our employees and are proud to be named alongside other esteemed companies that are dedicated to providing equal opportunity and a supportive workplace for all.”

The recognition as one of the World’s Top Companies for Women builds on a series of other distinguished honors Carnival Corporation has earned in recent years for its companywide operations and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, including being named by Forbes as one of the World’s Best Employers for the third time earlier this year. In addition, the company was named one of the Best Companies for Latinos by Latino Leaders Magazine in 2022 and earned a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's 2022 Corporate Equality Index, designating the company as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality for the sixth consecutive year.

This recognition underscores Carnival Corporation's commitment to its team members and cultivating an atmosphere of openness, respect, and trust. The company’s success is a direct result of its over 160,000 employees, who represent 150 countries around the globe and are at the heart of inspiring unforgettable happiness for its millions of guests around the world.
