AIDAcosma: Unique kick-off event for the Orient season with DJ ALLE FARBEN
On the 7-day premiere cruise on board AIDAcosma from/to Dubai starting 18 November 2022, guests can expect a special program from 1001 nights
After a successful Mediterranean season, AIDAcosma will set sail for the Orient for the first time from Mallorca on 29 October 2022. On the 20-day transatlantic voyage, guests will experience Malta, Greece and Israel as well as the impressive Suez Canal Passage. Via Oman and Abu Dhabi, AIDAcosma will arrive in Dubai, her sunny winter domicile in 2022/23.
On this occasion, AIDA is staging an exclusive on-board program as if from an oriental dream from 1001 nights to kick off AIDAcosma's Orient premiere season from 18 November 2022. On Friday evening, guests can watch a breathtaking AIDA light show of the Ain Dubai live from deck. With a height of 260 metres, the Ain Dubai is the highest and largest Ferris wheel in the world. On 19 November, DJ ALLE FARBEN will be spinning hip beats on board. The Berlin superstar was already on board as a special act for the christening of AIDAcosma and will now once again thrill guests with his world-famous hits from the Beach Club stage.
The kick-off event will be rounded off with, among other things, sweet delicacies from AIDA gourmet godmother Andrea Schirmaier-Huber, oriental dance workshops by and with the well-known Tatiana Perez and destination-related lectures by Dorine Ali Kahn, who is particularly deeply rooted in the Arabian continent.
On the 7-day Orient voyages in the winter season 2022/23 from/to Dubai, or also possible from/to Abu Dhabi, AIDAcosma will call at exotic metropolises with thousands of years of history, sheikdoms and kingdoms. The highlight of this route is Dubai, the city of architectural superlatives. AIDAcosma will spend two nights in this fascinating metropolis - as a prelude and for the crowning finale of the voyage. The journey continues to the United Arab Emirates to Abu Dhabi. Here, everything is in abundance, even peace and quiet. Guests can swim alone on dreamlike beaches or shop in a relaxed way. A stroll along the Corniche - Abu Dhabi's magnificent promenade - reveals once again all the beauty and generosity of the city. AIDAcosma will also stay overnight in Abu Dhabi. On different Oriental itineraries of AIDAcosma, extended stays in Oman are scheduled: impressive fortifications such as Fort Nizwa and Jabrin Castle, palm groves, sandy deserts and barren, majestic mountain ranges characterize the image of the Sultanate of Oman with its capital Muscat. During an excursion to the "Wahiba Sands", a sand dune area covering a total of 15,000 km², the fascination of the desert can be experienced at first hand. For the first time in the program on selected cruises is the island of Sir Ban Yas. On the tiny island in the Persian Gulf, guests experience the largest natural island in the Arab Emirates. Likewise, the 7-day itineraries alternate to Bahrain. The Kingdom of Bahrain impresses with the dazzling metropolis of Manama and historical sights. Its oriental mosques, magnificent palaces and ancient temples stretch out against a backdrop of magnificent natural beauty. Golden beaches and vast desert landscapes invite you to a variety of activities. The Manama Souk, with its labyrinth of small alleys and streets, is best known for pearls and gold. A detour to the famous Formula 1 racetrack is also worthwhile. The 7-day voyages can be combined to 14-day cruises, so guests can enjoy the magical Orient to the full.
Guests of AIDAcosma can look forward to a huge variety of offers on board. The beautiful new Ocean Deck extends over four decks and offers an all-round panoramic view of the sea and an infinity pool at the stern of the ship. The new Fun Park with a large indoor playground and the new bouldering wall offer plenty of variety. The gourmet variety is also enriched: In the new specialty restaurant Beach House, summery and light delicacies are served. The specialty restaurant Mamma Mia offers homemade pasta and fresh Italian cuisine with on-site service and the Brauhaus will have an outdoor grill with a magnificent sea view. For the Orient cruises with AIDAcosma, the local authorities have introduced an adapted health protocol. This means that unvaccinated guests can also travel with a certified PCR test (QR code, test max. 48 h before departure) or a certified convalescent certificate (QR code, convalescence may be max. 30 days ago). At the airport in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, children under 12 years of age are exempt from the aforementioned requirements.
