AIDA launches cruise season in Warnemünde
On Friday morning, AIDAdiva was the
first cruise ship in the AIDA fleet to dock at Pier 8 of the Warnemünde Cruise
Center this year. The 252-meter-long and 32.2-meter-wide ship arrived from
Copenhagen with some 2,200 guests on board. AIDAdiva’s trip continued directly
that evening when it set sail at around 6:00 p.m. for a short cruise to the
Baltic.
“We are delighted that we will once
again have two AIDA ships sailing from Warnemünde in the summer season 2015. In
total AIDAdiva and AIDAmar will be passing the lighthouse and the pier 38
times,” says Hansjörg Kunze, AIDA’s corporate spokesman.
This season AIDAdiva will be a guest in
Warnemünde 14 times between May 8 and August 30, 2015, and will mainly be
offering ten-day Baltic cruises to St. Petersburg, Stockholm and Gdansk.
The second ship, AIDAmar, will set sail
from Warnemünde on May 9, 2015. It will be making 24 one-week Baltic cruises.
AIDAmar’s season will end in Warnemünde on October 17, 2015 with a real
highlight: a transatlantic crossing via Norway, Greenland and Canada to New
York.
For sailing fans, another high point
will be the cruises to Hanse Sail. On August 6 and 9, 2015, guests will be able
to savor the spectacular backdrop from the pool deck, as the ship sets sail and
docks. AIDA ships will also be at the Rostock Port Parties on May 12 and 30.
Anyone who would like to see the AIDA
ships before taking a cruise will have many opportunities to do so between May
and September. A visit includes a tour of around three hours, and lunch on
board. The price of 49 euros per person will be converted into board credit of
50 euros for guests who book an AIDA cruise within three months of attending the
tour. Children up to and including the age of 15 can visit free of charge.
Guests can register online at www.aida.de/schiffsbesuche.
Staterooms are still available for
