AIDA Cruise & Help: Guests and crew of AIDAbella enable 34th and 35th school
During the past voyages on board AIDAbella, besides creating unique experiences and memories, the next two projects of the AIDA Cruise & Help initiative were accomplished.
With great engagement and numerous colorful activities for the good cause, guests and crew collected donations over several weeks, which will be used to build two new schools in India in the coming months. Overall, AIDA Cruise & Help has already made 35 worldwide projects possible.
"It's great to see that we were able to share some of our success and carry the AIDA feeling even to India. We wish the children and their families all the happiness, joy, and contentment in their new schools," Hotel Director Katharina Jegg and Entertainment Manger Tobias Klaus sum up their commitment on board AIDAbella.
In the Indian village of Gundumala, work will soon begin on a new special school with a large classroom and a teachers' room for a total of 120 primary school pupils. The village of Venkatampalli will receive a preschool for around 25 children with an integrated kitchen, sanitary facilities, and a spacious veranda.
AIDA Cruise & Help has bundled all of AIDA Cruises' charitable projects since 2019. The initiative is dedicated to supporting education in emerging and developing countries and thus to sustainably improving future prospects of children in the poorest parts of the world.
Within the traditional Christmas and New Year's Eve raffle, guests of the AIDA fleet once again have the opportunity to win a variety of prizes over the holidays and the turn of the year, and at the same time do something for a good cause.
